Hi Gary, you're an inspiration. I tell at least one person a week about WineLibrary.tv (Honest, not B.S.) because I think it's great and worthy of mention. I have a WL sweatband on my desk that co-workers ask me about. I talk about the news coverage you got in Star Ledger, NYTimes, Letterman, Ellen because I think you've done a great job with PR and found a great niche of making wine less snobby by demystifying it.

I've been watching your vlog from the beginning, but this is the first time I'm leaving a comment. A lot of what you talk about is in reference to business star-ups and Web 2.0, but I find that your messages resonate in my life as well. I'm a medical student, and although I have not for a day doubted that this is my calling, lately I've started to notice that I feel somewhat detached from the patients. I'm usually the one who puts in the extra hours to get to know the patients and address their questions and concerns after the attendings have left the room. As a student with limited knowledge and skill, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a patient's face lighten up when he or she finally understands that one medical jargon that the physicians have been using for years and never cared to explain in much detail. Yet, lately I feel like I've been walking around the hospital like a zombie - impatient, exhausted and expressionless. This really upsets me. The amount of energy and passion you bring to every single installment of WLTV and vlog never seize to amaze me. Whether a person comes across your video on episode 30 or 430, you bring the thunder to each and every one of them. I only hope that I can do the same and bring the thunder to all my patients and colleagues. Understanding and staying true to one's own DNA no matter what anyone else says, believing in change, cultivating 95:5 relationships, all the while staying humble and open-minded :). You preach and I listen!

Of course I take your tasting notes on wines even more seriously :P.

I met Tim Ferriss today (btw, he has a huge respect towards you and your work), and he also has this blatantly natural vibe. He is who he is. You are who you are.

While watching this video I really felt the concept that 'loving begets love' and you can play with the word 'love' in all sorts of ways, but expressing kindness and gratitude to you varied audience (which includes myself of course) brought about a reciprocal feeling of gratitude in me.

So, in short:
thank YOU for spending moments of YOUR own life to create media/expressions of yourself to share with the internet-world. I can't speak for the rest of the audience but I know that it has been *more* than once that something you did (a funny winelibrary video, a garyvaynerchuk video, or a little Tweet) has made me happy during the day.

PS: I laughed at how my "in short" portion of the comment ended up being longer than the first. Oh well :)

anyway i ordered a wine library tv sweatband about a month ago

TODAY it arrived

I was so stoked to get it, as i live in the UK i didnt think it would get shipped here. Totally forgot about it till it arrived to day
