Gary Vaynerchuk - This girl is my LIFE!
Do it Kevin!
Sarah Bunting did this in 2006 to raise money for educational project - I think she raised like $30,000 - let's see if you do better

Come on, looking at the masthead photo of garyvaynerchuk.com your head was practically shaved to begin with! You need to shave your eyebrows too. LOL. Nice idea.
Brian
How does Lizzie feel about your shaved head?
let's see if Mr. Rose stops the good karma train in it's tracks with his vanity. I am confident he _will_ shave his head.

This is a really great idea, Gary. There needs to be a website for this or a Facebook app where you can challenge your friends to shave their heads, or something for the community to rally around.
Looking forward to a shaved Kevin Rose.
A suggestion: why not cut the fancy, bling-bling Hollywood red carpet philanthropy crap and save extra bucks instead of isolating yourself or calling out people to do something out of ordinary just to prove they're on the good side?
You have my email, tell me where to donate the $100
I had chatted with you on Seesmic not too long ago wondering what kind of charity stuff you were doing. I told you about the SF nonprofit I'm working to start up called Spot.Us
I think what you and the Vayner-nation is awesome. As I see it: You recognize that you have been given a great opportunity, using social media to basically drink wine all the time.
But instead of being a jerk about it - you use spare energy to try and promote a good cause.
Rock on!!!!!
Taking a leaf from their book, you can setup competitions to "save or shave". Kevin likes his hair, so he needs to raise more money than the people who want to see him shave it off. This involves everyone in the community, not just the person who is getting their head shaved.
Question - how would Shoemoney play this game?
There's a charity that sets up events around people volunteering to shave their heads; the shavees raise money and a big party happens when the shaving goes down.
It's for Pediatric Cancer research, which I can't really argue with.

Go for it Kevin.
It's for charity, plus hair always grows back.
(regardless, I think the charity giving is great.)
You are sooo intense..love the way you describe wine! You make it so much more accessible(sp?). You rock!!!!!!!!!
Go Kevin!
if i saw this earlier i woulda recorded fridays head buzzing
hmmmmm, i'm gonna jump in on this when i return from vaca dude, we'll spread the world like a mofo!
--z--
We do this in NZ for Child Cancer.
My little brother made this video of my step father having his head shaved!

YEAH!
Go Gary!
=-)
You should set up a new category called GaryVaynerchuk.com/shavedheads or get Kevin to run a spot on Digg or something.
Gary, you are a genius and an inspiration!
I can see this spreading past the "called out list" in your circle of social media rock stars, and we need a place to post the videos and put up our own hundred BONES!
How can we take this to the masses?
Question - Was this completely impromptu, or did Kevin know you were going to call him out?
I just sent an email to Live with Regis and Kelly because I heard them talking about doing a wine tasting segment on the show. I told them that you would be a great choice for it. Mott link that up ok? Love your show.

The cash has to go through a roller coaster ride before a fraction of it actually gets used to help those in need directly. I'm not saying that it won't help. I'm just saying, I personally feel more comfortable donating something with a shorter ride to the beneficiary.
also, perhaps the minimum should be lowered to 50.
just a thought! a GREAT idea nonetheless. and calling out famous ppl will get the ball rolling faster!
With all fairness gary, you're not sacrificing much with shortening your hair. your hairstyle was short to begin with. :)
