I completely agree. I work with people daily and I am a college student. People do matter. Listen to everyone. I think that's where a lot of people fail. Everyone has an opinion. Work together. That's what it's all about.

Love the premise and absolutely make it one of my priority "reads" to watch GaryVee, both entertaining and most often, spot on.

That said, I am three tweets and one email unanswered. So in this particular case, I cannot get too enthralled. That said, Gary is very busy so I didn't expect a response necessarily. Or perhaps I am simply in the Gary Vee twitter and email spam block list! :) That is always possible too!

I can agree with everything you've said here. And I've been hearing you tout this notion that you read and respond to every email you get, even went on national TV and said on the Big Idea. However, I emailed you quite some time ago, with a very positive invitation while you are in Portland, and have gotten no response. Note: I'm aware of how backed up you get, and I don't really expect or assume a response from busy people such as yourselves, especially when query emails regard things that are less important in the grand scheme (and I'm not downplaying or self hating, I just understand priorities). But, I feel that if you're going to tout on such a grand scale, you gotta hold up your end of the bargain. You choose your own end results right? And you can respond to every email or not, you're choice, it's not going to hurt my feelings either way and probably not most other people's either. I'm just here with a friendly nudge to keep you honest GV. In my world of friendship this is just the kind of thing we do for each other, so consider this a friendly comment, not an angry complaint.

Hi Gary, I came to this post b/c I am following you on Twitter. I have taken WSET courses and love your approach to teaching people about wine (ex. Late Night with Conan segment with dirt and smelly socks.) It's original, funny and awesome.

I would love to be your first friend on Tribe.

Many of us are a part of a community that builds the third largest city in NV desert once a year for an event called Burning Man. and then we tear it down. completely. "Leave No Trace." I know that you have been to S/SW and well I haven't...so I will not try to compare it to that, but I have never willingly subjected myself to such hideous conditions. (it's not your everyday camping trip)

Anyway I ramble. For me it is a reminder that I must live everyday and every moment as though it counts for everything, because I believe I matter (and since I am part and all of everything then everything must matter)

So...

Maybe what some people really mean, or possibly the next step when there is more "noise" email / RSS, etc going on in your life is.....

How do you manage the time, to not short change other obligations responding to emails, comments, etc.

For example I had 2 days last week where I did not get much done on my to-do list due to errends, a minor ER room visit, etc.

So am I procesing client jobs / photos? I was earlier, but now I'm checking my networks instead of working...

I recently decided to roll the dice based on this very thought. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to self-promotion or brand development.. but when I looked at my site I decided that people already know how to promote stuff they like.

So I took down all the helpful bookmark links. I took them out of the feeds too. If people like my stuff, they will share it. What I need to concentrate on is good content and good conversation.
