I've got a decent size collection of wine, a little over 300 bottles. Approximately 80% of them I have a good idea of when they should be consumed (via cellartracker) but there's a large amount of them I'm not sure. Besides e-mailing each producer, is there another good source you know of that I can use to find out when I should be drinking these wines?

Okay Gary...I'm chas'in you hard now...LOL.

You say ask a question and you'll answer it. My question is how to become a similar persona as to what you've built but in my niche of golf. Golfers are rabid, but unfortunately my specialty is a small niche of golf which is "fitness for better golf". I totally believe in it, as a broken body will NEVER play good golf, and most golfers are broken. The only problem is that fitness is one of the hardest "sells" on the planet. I feel if I can bring my passion and knowledge closer to my market like you've done, it should put me over the edge and closer to my income and success goals.

What is your advice for me? I have the potential to be a "Gary V" in my niche as my personality believe it or not is quite similar to yours.

Hi Gary,
My husband is probably your biggest fan since he discovered your show about 6 months ago. He's started buying wine from you and has it shipped to my work (its been stolen from our home before). Anyway, long story, but now everyone at work thinks I'm an alcoholic as I receive packs of wine from your store.

The reason for this comment is that its his birthday tomorrow, May 20th and it would be awesome if you could give him a shout out! It would really make his day, week, year!

Gary, late comer to the party here as far as making my question, long time follower, and long time watcher of "The Thunder Show"

First off, you RAWKED out on Donny. I can't tell you how much I loved that show!

Question: I am a woodturner. Woodturning is my passion, my air, my expression. So my question to you is: How does an artist such as myself who only has so much time to produce product for sale with my own two hands kick it up another notch to were I can generate income with my knowledge, and my passion for the industry?

To preface the question:
1.I am streaming live on blog TV and drawing decent numbers.

2. I have a blog where I explain my artistic process as well as tell the story of my art.

3. I am beginning to prouce podcast called Woodturning and Creative arts.

4. I have already been approached by large companies in my industry to help in their social media projects as well as possible sponsorships.

Gary, I am working full time, putting all of my free time into my passion of woodturning and social media! I want to support my family with my passion and my love!

Hi Gary, your unbridled enthusiasm towards life and work is contagious and it's an example to follow to avoid fall prey of depression and negativity which threat to attack us every day. Anyway, without further ado, the questions:

1) How do you address those moments in life or your career where you feel you've hit a brick wall and nothing ever seems to go right? It's easy to declare oneself an optimist in calm times, but facing the grim situations in life and still be one is not (I'm working hard on it).

2) Maybe you've heard of this so-called Attraction Law. I would even say that you ARE the definition of that. Any thoughts on this?

I really appreciate your attitude when it comes to your fans, and it's great that you maintain this kind of communication! I've got a couple of quick questions for you.

1) Myself and a couple of other guys are working on a start-up right now, doing some IT stuff, do you have any tips for getting a business off the ground in the first couple years?

2) I'm a member of the Canadian Contingent (Montreal, QC specifically), and I was wondering if you could give me some tips on getting wine up here. The selections at the SAQ (government-run liquor stores) are generally not great, and I know it would cost me an arm and a leg to bring the stuff in from outside the country. I'd love to try some of the wines you mention on the show but can never find them. What can I do? Also, would you ever thing about working out some kind of method of shipping wines from WL up to Canada?

I can certainly relate to JQ above and sometimes share in his frustration as well as the elation of having ones hands in all those pots.

This book proposes that we all have intrinsic (10pt for that word use) value in just being who they are.

I think that energy storage in our life is like a flywheel, that we get as much as we put in, and that all the energy that we have put in over many years helps keep us moving.

I am intrigued as to how large a support staff of friends you have to facilitate your frolicking through your work day.

I have a couple of questions:

1) In order to grow Wine Library from a few million to $50m did you use any unusual marketing, PR or promotional tactics? Apart from social marketing, what would you do differently if you had this time again?

2) Given that you are living out social media with all your engagements and I see that on your twitter last night you were thinking of starting another vlog (!!!) what support network do you have to help you manage your time and achieve your objectives ie who's in your power team? Secretary, PA, editor etc

And finally, when are you coming to London?! :)

We have a single brick and mortar shoe store in Central Washington State and am constantly bombarded with the question "Why don't you sell online?". Our greatest issue is how do we take the personality and feel of my 88 year old business and portray that online? How do we take the unique odors of leather and shoe polish, combine that with the sounds of our repair machinery, the eclectic mix of items we sell and the dog that greats you at the door and put it on a website? I'd like to think of myself as somewhat web savvy, however this is a task that has kept me from having much of a web presence. Thanks for your time and although I'm a beer guy, I sure enjoy all you do!

Interaction has become so easy, to powerful, so awesome... but also so overwhelming.

As someone who blogs on three sites, has 5 email addresses, IM on 4 networks, twitters and has accounts on a handful of social networking webites... my question to you is: how do we separate the good communication from the noise?

To clarify, what I mean by good communication is communication that is of value. As businesses, we want to hear what our customers are saying (feedback good or bad, tips, suggestions, appreciation, etc), but the message is often overrun by chatter and useless communication that serves no real purpose (spam, blatant plugging of some product, abuse of communication tools, forced viral marketing, product placement in blog posts, etc, etc).

If that question would take to long to answer, no worries.. how about this one: What wine should I drink tonight?

hey gary. jq here. i'm a guy that's done a little bit of a lot of things. i've been a dj. i was signed as a rapper. i've been in movies and on tv. i've also been a janitor. i've made music for commercial stuff like nike basketball. i've taught at a university as a guest professor and i myself haven't even graduated college. now i'm working in my family business, a 133 year-old pharmacy, and starting (with my brother-- it's all about the fam) smallflower tv, a video blog about natural health and body care, because i was inspired by winelibrarytv.com which i'm a huuuuuge fan of. thank you for that. while this is going on, my other brother and i (once again-- it is allllll about the fam) are writing directing and starring in a play that's going up on navy pier in chicago this summer before we take it to scotland in august for the fringe festival. and that's not even all of the pots i've got my paws all up into. now i don't say all this to brag. at all. i am blessed and i know that. i don't complain. ever. really. but after all this, i feel sometimes that i am a "jack of all trades, but an ace of none." am i spreading myself too thin? is that even possible? i don't measure my success monetarily, strictly with love. and in that way, i feel like the most successful guy in the world, regardless of my career fortunes. but sometimes i think to myself, how can i still be broke and struggling and living check to check after all this? i don't even think i'm owed anything, and every day i feel like it's a great day to be alive. but i still get frustrated sometimes. my dad, from pakistan (and extreme poverty) IS the american dream. he says that if you work hard and have good intentions the rest will work itself out. is that true? is that all there is? regardless, i'ma keep on keepin on.
